Você me manda uma mensagem às duas da tarde querendo saber se tá tudo bem. E antes de te enviar alguma coisa de volta, eu olho pro celular e me pergunto, duas, três, trinta vezes, se você quer mesmo saber a resposta. Ainda que eu acredite, no fundo, que você sabe tanto quanto eu que não, não tá. Porque a gente sabe que acabou.

A gente sabe que acabou quando evita voltar pra casa depois de um dia inteiro de trabalho. Como é que eu vou te encarar com tudo isso preso na garganta? Então eu chego aos trapos e torço pra me jogar na cama sem você me perguntar como foi meu dia. Porque eu tenho medo do fim de nós dois escapar da ponta da minha língua ou de você, de repente, resolver que já deu. E a gente fica assim, num jogo de gato e rato, fugindo do término que o outro já encontrou. Porque a gente sabe que acabou. A gente só não admite.

Nas segundas, nas terças, principalmente nos domingos. O adeus tá sempre ali, a uma esquina de nós dois, na rua em que a gente faz de tudo pra não virar. E eu sinto que eu fico tentando me agarrar a você como se eu ainda pudesse, de algum jeito, de qualquer jeito, salvar o que a gente tinha. Se eu fizer um pouquinho de esforço, será que volta? Será que a gente se coloca nos eixos?

Mas a gente sabe. No rolê com os amigos quando a gente repara que não consegue mais concordar em nada. E fica todo mundo ali, nos olhando com um pouco de pena e uma dose de paciência, se questionando que tipo de casal nós vamos ser. Nós vamos ser daquelas pessoas que ficam juntas por comodismo e acabam se odiando ou nós vamos pular do barco antes que seja tarde demais? Será que a gente vai se amar o suficiente pra saber ir embora?

E enquanto a gente não vai, a gente tenta fingir pra si e pra todo mundo que continua igual. Mas eles sabem. Os nossos amigos, a minha irmã, o nosso vizinho e o porteiro. Até sua mãe sabe. Ela soube no seu último aniversário, no meio do parabéns, quando eu te olhava assustada ao me dar conta que eu só queria que acabasse. Tudo aquilo, entende? Ela me olhou por uns cinco ou seis segundos, eu acho, e soube. Porque alguma coisa em mim já tinha se apagado e eu podia tentar disfarçar com sorrisos e palmas e presentes, mas não tava mais ali. Aquele amor todo, lembra? Eu não encontrava mais em lugar nenhum.

Eu precisei de um pouquinho mais de tempo do que ela pra reparar que alguma coisa tinha se apagado em você também.

E talvez a gente ainda fique mais um tempo insistindo, porque quem ama sempre insiste, não é? E mais cinquenta mensagens, e mais alguns aniversários, e todo mundo sabendo que alguma coisa mudou, até a gente perceber. Alguns amores acabam e nem por isso deixam de ser amor.
